Konstantinos Lafkas is actively involved in supporting the Greek ecosystem of Startups and SMEs. He is a partner of UniFund, a 30mn euro fund and is a founder of MicroGlobals, a boutique consulting firm, focusing on Scaling Up.
He has served as a corporate professional, for more than 25 years, in high and C level managerial positions: Shell, M.J. Maillis, Selonda, Alfa Laval Greece, Sunlight, Epa Attikis, Bitros SA. He has led the aggressive Scale Up of Greek MNCs all over the globe through organic growth and acquisition projects. The value of projects and deals exceed 2 bn euro. In addition, he has been heavily involved, with his teams, in transforming business models, disrupting product/service fixedness and introducing new growth frameworks. He has lived in many European countries: Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany and Spain and has led business projects in the Far East, Middle East and the Americas. During his career he has spent most of his time travelling all around the globe and negotiating deals in many different environments and cultures.
Born in 1967. He holds an Msc in Mechanical Engineering with a major in production economics, (National Technical University of Athens), an MBA from IMD-Lausanne and an MSc in Decision Sciences, Athens University of Economics. In addition, he has been trained in specific managerial areas in high ranked Universities like Stanford (Entrepreneurship and Innovation), Babson (Entrepreneurship in corporate Environments), IMD (Program for Executive Development), INSEAD (Young Managers Program) and Ashridge (Strategic Global Sales and Marketing), Guerilla Marketing and ExOs. He is a member of several associations (Greek Engineers, C-Level Executives and various alumni clubs, NYUA, IMD, INSEAD).
