I have been an entrepreneur for the last 25 years. I started my first company when I was 21. It grew from 0 to over 1000 employees within a few years. Later I started a group of 8 more companies. Since 2004 I have been using Scaling Up methodologies for growing my companies with freedom, fun, and success. In 2016 I became co-owner of ScaleUp Company and we have helped over 1200 companies in Europe to grow.
Professional Highlights
Started 8 companies, sold three. Helped two NGO's to build the largest European network of supporting companies. Worked with more than 150 companies on strategy, execution, and people issues. Implemented Scaling Up with over 100 companies. 200 masterclasses, 100 speakers' gigs, 20 articles on scaling. Asked twice in the Dutch SME board for advice.
Personal Highlights
Have a son, daughter, and awesome girlfriend. I have played in a cover band and enjoy visiting international festivals, of which I have participated in the Burning Man event 3 times.
