Ajay is passionate about helping entrepreneurs succeed.
As the only certified Scaling Up Coach based in India, he brings a wealth of 33 years of experience starting, building & growing businesses in India & globally. He has been an intrapreneur as well as an entrepreneur in telecom, IT services, publishing & industrial products. He has managed complex projects, large global teams & business growth even under challenging situations. As a Scaling Up Coach, he has worked with companies in IT services, Recruitment, Manufacturing & Industrial services, helping implement the various tools in the Scaling Up methodologies.
For the last 7 years, he has been a Charter Member & then subsequently Governing Council Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Pune chapter. TiE is a global non-profit organization which supports start-ups through Mentoring, Education & Networking programs. He has been involved with their Mentoring initiative ‘Nurture’ for the past 7 years which has seen many companies from Pune succeed in Indian & International Markets as well as get multiple rounds of funding. He has also helped organize the biggest start-up conference in Pune – TiECon which has been held annually for the past 6 years.

Ajay is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore (Executive General Management Program), Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (Master of Marketing Management) & Mumbai University (Bachelor of Economics).
His roles in the Corporate Sector encompass Sales, Marketing, Training & IT Services. His stints have been in companies like DELL, Idea Cellular, Reliance Infocomm, Eureka Forbes & The Times of India.
He is a popular speaker & is regularly invited to speak at industry forums, online events & television shows.
Personal Highlights
Ajay lives in Pune, India & loves meditation, music, books & traveling. His wife, Jyoti is a volunteer with the international NGO - 'Art of Living' & teaches yoga & meditation. His son studied in the UK & works in the sports management industry.
Both Ajay & Jyoti are very active members of Toastmasters International, a non-profit global organization that helps individuals develop their leadership & public speaking skills. He has held various leadership roles over the past 4 years & has helped charter 3 Toastmasters clubs exclusively for entrepreneurs in Pune. He now plans to replicate this in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat & Nagpur.
Another area of interest for Ajay is support for 'Rang De', a non-profit organization that seeks to tackle the problems of rural India by encouraging entrepreneurship. They have a platform where social investors can invest & then provide low-interest loans without taking any collateral to people for setting up small businesses
